Did you know you can refine a search by telling Yahoo to search for certain kinds of content? The Division of Arithmetic welcomes assistant professor Dinh-Liem Nguyen. After receiving his PhD in Arithmetic from École Polytechnique in France, Dinh-Liem did a postdoc at College of Michigan, and extra just lately, at University of North Carolina Charlotte. His analysis area lies at the intersection of inverse problems and imaging, scattering theory and scientific computing. “The sphere of inverse issues has been one of many quickest growing areas in applied mathematics in the past 20 years,” Nguyen says. “I am currently engaged on environment friendly inversion strategies for the inverse issues in scattering principle,” he adds. “It’s nicely-known that these inverse issues will be extremely nonlinear and in poor health-posed, which poses substantial challenges in learning their inversion strategies.” Professor Nguyen can also be focused on well-posedness questions and the numerical answer of the ahead issues in scattering and wave propagation.
CETL supplies an extensive checklist of disciplinary and interdisciplinary journals in the scholarship of educating and Learning (SoTL) targeted on undergraduate and graduate schooling for teachers at schools and universities, organized alphabetically.
We are all for capturing how the TETCs or different comparable initiatives are being used or developed by those within the area, (e.g., instructor educators, skilled builders, and educational leaders). This call for manuscripts is targeted on the submission of articles that will build a powerful foundational understanding of how ALL trainer educators are ready to address the mandatory skills and knowledge associated to know-how use and integration inside our trainer preparation program.
We have briefly suspended the ‘Submission’ function attributable to technical points. We are working to resolve these issues and can restore the ‘Submission’ function when potential. At this time it is not clear when submitting an article for evaluate will be potential. Please test the AJTE homepage to see when the hyperlink is lively once once more.
Associate Professor Victor Turchin received a Collaboration Grant for Mathematicians from the Simons Foundation Division for Arithmetic and the Physical Sciences. The grant gives a total of 42,000 USD for 5 years in journey and different research bills. Turchin works on the interface of algebraic topology with several different fields including geometric topology, deformation heory, theory of operads, and topology of subspace arrangements. He plans to use this grant to proceed joint analysis along with his collaborators in Sweden, France, Switzerland, Canada, and Russia.
